Summary
This site does not require an account, does not collect any personal information through forms, and the converter runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you type into the converter is sent anywhere.
What the Converter Does With Your Input
Nothing leaves your device. The conversion is arithmetic performed by JavaScript running in your own browser tab, using two constants baked into the page. There is no API call, no calculation happening on a server, and no logging of what you enter. The numbers you type are not stored, not transmitted, and not recoverable by anyone once you close the tab. That includes us. This matters more than it might sound, because people convert their own body weight here, and that figure never becomes data.
Information Collected Automatically
Like almost every website, the servers and CDN that deliver these pages process standard request information in order to serve them: your IP address, the page requested, the referring page, and the user agent string your browser sends. This is ordinary technical delivery data. It is used to serve the site and protect it from abuse, not to build a profile of you.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic, such as which pages get visited and roughly where visitors are located. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as your browser type, approximate location, and pages viewed. That data is aggregated, is not used to identify you personally, and is never combined with anything entered into the converter. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking with a browser extension such as the official Google Analytics Opt Out Add On, or through your browser's own tracking protection settings. Google's handling of this data is governed by its own privacy policy.
Cookies and Local Storage
Aside from one preference that never leaves your browser (whether you chose the light or dark theme, stored via localStorage rather than a cookie), this site sets no cookies of its own. That theme value is a single word, it stays on your device, only this site can read it, and it disappears whenever you clear your browser's site data. Any other cookies present come from the analytics service described above.
What This Site Does Not Do
There are no advertising networks, no retargeting or conversion pixels, no social media tracking widgets, no A/B testing, no session recording scripts, and no email list. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers, because none of it is collected in a form that could be.

Outbound links to other sites, including the sources cited on the homepage, are provided for reference only. This site is not responsible for the content or privacy practices of external sites, and their policies take over the moment you follow the link.
Your Rights
If you are in the UK, the EEA, or a jurisdiction with comparable data protection law, you have rights of access, correction, deletion, and objection over personal data held about you. In practice there is very little here to exercise them against: no account, no form submissions, no stored conversions. Requests concerning analytics data can be sent to the address below, and we will help with whatever is within our control.
Children's Privacy
This site does not knowingly collect personal information from children and is not directed at children. If you believe a child's personal information has somehow reached us, contact the address below and it will be deleted.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes in how the site operates. The "last updated" date above will always reflect the most recent revision. Material changes will be described on this page rather than made silently.
